In Tocantins, there is also enough power to move the industry. Today, Tocantins has three hydroelectric plants (Lajeado, Peixe / Angical and Isamu Ikeda) and 11 small plants in operation. In addition, two other large dams are under construction (Estreito and San Salvador).
Thus, the state produces far more energy than it consumes (90.43% of exporting power to other states). Currently, the production of Tocantins is 1,420 mega watts, while consumption is 136 mega watts.
