The most remarkable characteristic of Colinas is the fact that it is a planned city and contemporary to Brasilia´s construction.
Colinas was a way to North, the settled point along the Belem-Brasilia highway before reaching Belem. It is also important because one of its founders was Mr. J.W. Siquero Campos.
